Genuine WWII Japanese Type 4 brown ceramic hand grenade.

Due to a general shortage of metals, such ceramic grenades were introduced in late 1944, early 1945 as weapons of 'last resort' and were subsquently issued to Nipponese troops during the battles of Iwo Jima and Okinawa. 

Very good overall condition.

The body of this grenade is totally empty and harmless.
