Rare genuine WWII US Mk 2 fighting knife, of the early-production type hallmarked Ka-Bar, Olean, N.Y. on the left side of the ricasso. Initials RH have been engraved on the leather grip.
Comes in its original russet leather scabbard, manufactured by Boyt and dated 1943. Initials RBH have been carved at the back, where name Robert B. Hoem and ASN 36666422 have been written. The male part of the snap fastener is missing.
Great homogeneous set, in good overall condition.
Robert Bernhard Hoem was born on February 4, 1925 in Waukegan, Illinois passed away on July 20, 2020.
