Helmet, M1, Complete, with Camouflage Cover, Lt. Wroebel, Vietnam, 1965
Great genuine Vietnam War US Army M1 helmet, rear seam and swivel loops, shell number 884H, original canvas chinstrap with steel hook and buckle; the front of the shell shows a painted 2nd Lieutenant rank insignia.
Comes with its 1964 Pattern liner, which retains its green cotton web suspension, russet leather sweatband, and black-painted A washers; some 2nd Lieutenant rank insignia has been painted on the outer surface, too.
Homogeneous set, coming with a Mitchell Pattern reversible camouflage helmet cover -- contract number indicates a production in late 1964, early 1965.
Good overall condition; comes along with a handwritten document dated 1965, which provides a list of men composing a 2nd Platoon under command of some Lieutenant Wroebel.
