Genuine Korean War era US Army embroidered cloth oval badge, intended for receiving a pair of 'jump wings' and bearing the colors of the 187th Regimental Combat Team.
Activated at Camp Mackall, North Carolina in February 1943, the unit was attached to 11th Airborne Division and deployed to the PTO, participating in the campaigns of the Philippines and New Guinea. In 1945, the unit was converted to a dual-use format (paratroops and glider troops) prior to being employed as an occupation force in Japan. Redesignated 187th Regimental Combat Team in 1950, it soon entered the fray in Korea.

The Code provides additional penalties, including the confiscation of the items used or intended for committing the offence.
