Genuine WWII US M1 helmet, front seam and fixed loops, manufactured by McCord -- no shell number visible.
The replacement canvas chinstrap features a brass buckle and a late production hook.
Some grey-blue paint is visible under the layer of OD paint which has been applied on the outer surface of the shell, indicating that it once saw service with the US Navy. Number 4-26 has been painted in black at the rear.
Comes with its original liner, manufactured by Westinghouse, retaining its cotton web suspension and neckband, russet leather sweatband, and blackened-brass A washers.
Nice homogeneous set in quite good, worn condition.

The Code provides additional penalties, including the confiscation of the items used or intended for committing the offence.
