Genuine WWII US Army M1 helmet liner, of the resin-coated compressed fiber type introduced in 1943, manufactured by Westinghouse.
The outter surface shows remnants of a layer of white paint, and the standard MP markings of the Military Police hand-painted in black capital letters on the front -- some tiny US flag (decal) has been placed between the two initials.
In quite good overall condition, the present liner retains its cotton web suspension and neckband, leather sweatband, and OD-painted A washers.
Genuine WWII US M1 helmet of the Military Police, with front seam and fixed bales, manufactured by McCord, shell number 143B , without chinstrap. Initials MP have been hand-painted on both the front and the back of the shell.
Some bullet or shrapnel has pierced the right rear section of the present helmet.
Genuine WWII US russet leather holster intended for the M1911A1 Colt pistol, .45 caliber. To be attached to the pistol belt. Issued to all branches of service -- Army, Navy, Marines... No production markings visible.
Quite good, used condition. Complete with hook. The outer surface has been entirely covered with a layer of white paint. Comes with its original white cloth holder, featuring a belt loop.
Interesting and homogeneous Military Police set.

Nice genuine interwar period photograph, showing two policemen posing with some Harley-Davidson motorcycle and sidecar. The ink stamp visible at the back indicates that the present picture was taken by Ernest Bihler, a commercial photographer established in Omaha, Nebraska in 1919.
