Helmet, M1, Fixed Loops, 29th Infantry Division, FIRESTONE Liner

Rare genuine WWII US Army M1 helmet, front seam and fixed loops, manufactured by McCord. Shell number 273A. Original early production canvas chinstrap with brass hook and buckle. The 29th Infantry Division insignia has been painted on the front of the shell.

Comes with an original liner, manufactured by Firestone, retaining its original khaki cotton web suspension and neckband, russet leather sweatband, blackened-brass A washers, and leather chinstrap. The outer surface retains all of its original olive drab paint.

Very nice set in good, worn condition.
