Packboard, 2nd Pattern, 1944, with Pack, Canvas, Medical, US Army
Rare genuine WWII US Army set, comprising a packboard of the second pattern, and a nice OD 7 canvas medical pack intended for carrying first-aid supplies and other medical devices.
Manufactured by Artek-Pascoe, Inc. and dated January 4, 1944, the packboard is made in shaped plywood and fitted with a wide canvas panel attached on both sides; introduced in 1943, this version was a simpler alternative to the earlier Yukon packboard.
The pack, which could weight up to 40 pounds when loaded, was used as a possible substitute for the medical chests at forward aid stations; thanks to its various straps, it could be attached to both the early or late versions of the above-mentioned packboard, and saw extensive use in the medical detachments of infantry regiments and other special units, such as the First Special Service Force.
An amazing set, in very good overall condition.

The present document is in quite good overall condition despite a tear. Dated 1944.

Genuine WWII US Army long and short canvas strap, intended for the medical pouch which contained various bandages and first-aid accessories -- different types of supplies could be carried, depending on the personnel's position. The pouch could be carried as a single musette bag or as a pair, thanks to a specific suspender. Complete and in quite good overall condition; snap hooks are in working order.
Pack, Beach, Medical, US Navy, PhM2c Kenneth Fall, MTO
Rare genuine WWII US Navy medical beach pack, made in khaki heavy duty canvas and intended for carrying the Type 14-030 suitcase, which contained frontline medical supplies. This type was used by the Naval Beach Battalions on Utah Beach and Omaha Beach on D-Day. Quite good, used condition; shoulder straps have been cut off. Rank Ph.M.2/c , name K.H. Fall and mention 5A Aid Station and Disp. have been written on the present bag. Kenneth Harold Fall was born on November 30, 1922 in Ossipee, New Hampshire and joined the US Navy on December 11, 1942 (service number 573-14-26). His name appears on the muster rolls of LST-501 and LST-387, as well as Naval Operating Base in Palermo, Sicily, and Advanced Amphibious Training Base in Bizerte, Tunisia.
