Genuine WWI US Army M1910 canteen, manufactured by L.F.&C. and dated 1918, complete with its matching cup also manufactured by L.F.&C. and dated 1918. This set comes in its original khaki cover, dated 1917.
Homogeneous lot in quite good, used condition. The following mention has been stamped on the canteen itself: Everts, Earl G., Cook, France, Nov. 18 .
Earl Gain Everts was born on June 10, 1897 in Traer, Iowa and joined the US Army in April 1917 (ASN 627927). He went on to serve as a Cook with Battery A, 58th Artillery Regiment (Coast Artillery) and departed for France aboard the USS Covington , which sailed from Hoboken, New Jersey on May 10, 1918. He came home aboard the USS Santa Barbara , which departed from Bordeaux, France on April 16, 1919. He passed away on March 16, 1956.
