Shoulder Title, American Volunteer, RCAF, Embroidered
Genuine WWII RCAF shoulder patch, intended for US volunteers. This is the generic insignia worn by enlisted men and NCOs on both shoulders of the Battledress and Service Dress jackets. Nationality titles were to be worn by all personnels from the British Dominions and colonies when deployed overseas; this particular title is specific to servicemen from the US who had volunteered in the Royal Canadian Air Force prior to their own country's engagement in the conflict.
This one is for the right shoulder (the eagle being looking frontwards).
