Very scarce genuine WWII British Type F Container canvas bag. Introduced in 1944, the Type F soon became popular with the Special Operations Executive, which used it to parachute radio equipment intended for Jedburgh Teams and Resistance groups in enemy-occupied territory -- particularly the Wireless Sets Nos. 11, 19, 21 and 22. This type also saw action on the occasion of Operation Market Garden in Holland.

This large canvas bag features a wooden frame in order to reinforce the bottom. Manufactured by W.W. Ltd. and dated 1944. Broad Arrow clearly visible.

The present bag is complete and in excellent overall condition; found at Froidchapelle, Belgium.
