Bead Chains, Dog Tags, Made in USA

Post-war production of the stainless steel GI's chains intended for dog tags, virtually identical to the wartime issue. This well-known bead type, initially sold in PXs, quickly became popular and gradually replaced the 1940 version. The present main chain (24in) and extra chain (4in) were made in the USA by The Bead Chain Co., Bridgeport Conn.

Rare genuine WWII US Army grouping, which belonged to some  Francis E. Weiss and comprises the following items: - a chain bracelet adorned with the Medical Department's caduceus, on which name  Frances E. Weiss (sic) and ASN  37658731  have been engraved; - a pair of dog tags issued to  Francis E. Weiss , ASN  37658731 , vaccinated against tetanus in 1944 and 1945, blood type O, Protestant, with name and address of next-of-kin. A pair of post-war dog tags, retaining its original bead chain, completes this great homogeneous set. Francis Ernest William Weiss was born on January 24, 1918 in Fort Dodge, Iowa and joined the US Army on January 28, 1943. He deployed to Europe with the Medical Department and was discharged as a Sergeant in April 1946, prior to resuming active service during the Korean War. Genuine WWII US Army dog tag, issued to some Phyllis Ingalls  service number  A- 300273 , vaccinated against tetanus in 1943, blood type A, Protestant, with name and address of next-of-kin -- here, her father. Phyllis F. Ingalls was born on January 22, 1919 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma and joined the Women's Army Corps on August 4, 1943. She deployed to the Pacific from November 18, 1944 to October 22, 1945, in New Guinea and in the Phillipines, serving in the Headquarters of the Far East Air Forces, and was discharged nine days later as a Corporal.
