Scarce genuine WWII baseball catcher's chest protector, manufactured by Rawlings for the US Army Special Services.

Created on July 22, 1940 by the War Department, the Special Services were the entertainment branch of the Armed Forces.

Quite good, used condition. Complete with full strap assembly -- pin buckle and snap hook are in working order.
