Nice genuine WWII US Army Other Ranks wool serge off-duty jacket.
Label is dated January 13, 1942; size 42R.
The following insignias are still present: Sergeant rank stripes, 'Ruptured Duck', five Overseas Service Bars and one Service Stripe.
Excellent overall condition; retains all original buttons.
Laundry number S1227 and name Sadowski have been written in the collar.
John Sadowski was born on February 12, 1919 in Wyandotte, Michigan and joined the US Army on October 5, 1942 (ASN 16111227). He went on to serve with the Air Forces and deployed to the China-Burma-India theater of operations as an Electrical Specialist with Air Transport Command. He was discharged on December 10, 1945 as a Sergeant, and passed away on March 26, 2005.
