Genuine WWII US Army Other Ranks wool serge off-duty jacket, which has been tailored to fit like the so-called 'Ike Jacket'.
Complete and in excellent overall condition; retains all original insignias: Airborne Troop Carrier Command (embroidered on felt) and 9th Air Force shoulder sleeve insignias, 'U.S.' and Air Corps collar discs, 9th Air Force distinctive unit insignias, aircrew badge, Presidential Unit Citation, medal ribbons (Air Medal with three Oak Leaf Clusters -- one in gold and two in bronze --, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with three Stars -- one in silver and two in bronze --, American Campaign Medal, and Good Conduct Medal), Technical Sergeant rank stripes, Engineering Specialist insignia, four Overseas Service Bars, and one Service Stripe.

Andrew Joseph O'Meara was born on April 1st, 1915 in County Kerry, Ireland, emigrated to the United States in 1926, and joined the US Army on August 17, 1942 (ASN 31161148). He went on to serve with the Air Corps and deployed to Europe in March 1944 with 87th Troop Carrier Squadron, 438th Troop Carrier Group, 9th Air Force, prior to taking part in the Normandy invasion on D-Day. He was discharged on September 14, 1945 as a Technical Sergeant, and passed away on February 11, 1979.
