Rare genuine WWII US Navy waterproof transceiver, manufactured by Communication Company, Inc.
Made under contract Nxss-14439, this transmitting and receiving equipment was intially designed for the Paramarines but soon became popular with most services of the Marine Corps.
The present radio set is made up of the following elements:
- 1 canvas carrying bag;
- 1 watertight bakelite box containing the transceiver itself and the battery;
- 1 pair of headphones;
- 1 microphone with a switch button;
- 1 telescopic antenna (of the 2nd type in the present case).
Homogeneous set, in very good overall condition, retaining all wires.
