Genuine WWII US M1942 bayonet for the M1 Garand rifle, manufactured by Utica Cutlery (see hallmark UC on left side of the ricasso) in 1942 and subsequently shortened by PAL.
This type was redesignated M1 in March 1943.
In quite good overall condition, the present bayonet comes in its OD bakelite scabbard.
