Nice genuine WWII US M3 russet leather shoulder holster intended for the Colt M1911A1 Pistol, caliber .45.
Manufactured by Enger-Kress and dated 1944.
Introduced for USAAF pilots in 1942, this type was subsequently used in most branches of the military and became particularly popular among airborne troops and armored crews.
Complete and in quite good, used condition; the snap fastener of the belt loop is damaged but the Lift-the-Dot fastener of the securing strap is in working order.
Two different laundry numbers are visible on the back of the sheath.
Pistol is not included.
