Helmet, Mk II, British, RO & Co.-TTC, 1940-1943, Royal Army Medical Corps, Named
Interesting genuine WWII British Mk II helmet, manufactured by Rubery Owen & Co. Ltd. in Leeds, England in 1940. Three vertical bars (red-blue-yellow) have been hand-painted on the left side of the shell, indicating that the present helmet saw service with the Royal Army Medical Corps, while name Owens has been engraved under the rim. The liner was produced by Teddy Toy Co. Ltd. in Dagenham, England in 1943, and retains its original canvas chinstrap. Nice homogeneous set in good, worn condition.

Nice genuine WWII Canadian Mk II helmet, complete with original liner and early type chinstrap. Shell manufactured by CLC ( Canadian Lamp Company , Windsor, Ontario) and dated 1941. Liner is hallmarked VMC ( Viceroy Manufacturing Company , Toronto, Ontario) and dated 1940. Size 6 3/4. Very good overall condition. The outer surface of the shell has been covered with a layer of dark grey paint, which may indicate that the present helmet saw service with the Royal Canadian Navy. A series of digits, which may correspond to a service number, is visible under the brim of the present helmet.

Scarce genuine WWII Canadian Mk II helmet, complete with original liner and chinstrap. A red cross has been painted in a white disc on the front and at the rear of the shell. The shell is manufactured by G.S.W. (General Steel Wares -- Toronto, Ontario Canada) and dated 1941. Liner is hallmarked V.M.C. ( Viceroy Manufacturing Co -- Canada ) and dated 1943. Size 7. Homogeneous set in very nice condition.

Genuine WWII British Mk II helmet, complete with original liner and chinstrap. Shell manufactured by EB ( Eveson Brothers, Worcester, England ) and dated 1942. Liner is hallmarked W. & L.C. and dated 1941. Size 6 3/4. The present helmet retains a 'shrimp type' camouflage net. Homogeneous set in good overall condition.

Helmet, Mk II, South African, Camouflaged
Great genuine WWII South African Mk II helmet, retaining its original liner and chinstrap. The three holes visible at the rear were designed for attaching a neck flap (not provided here) in order to protect the wearer from insolation. The outer surface was covered with a layer of sand paint, likely intended for providing camouflage in desert environment. After fighting the Italians in East Africa, South African troops first saw action against the Germans in North Africa in 1941, prior to participating in the battles of Tobruk and El-Alamein; some South African units subsequently deployed to Italy in 1943. Complete and in quite good overall condition.

Nice genuine WWII British Mk III helmet, complete with original liner and chinstrap. No markings visible apart from some illegible ink stamp on the webbing chinstrap. Produced from 1943 onwards, the Mk III, offering a better enveloping shape than the Mk II, retains its predecessor's liner. It was not used in actual combat conditions before June 6, 1944: on D-Day, the 'Turtle' helmet was worn by British and Canadian units involved in the first wave of the amphibious landings. The present helmet is complete and in quite good, worn condition.
