Kit, Chaplain's, Protestant, US Army, 1st Lt. William Wright, USAAF
Rare genuine WWII US Army Protestant chaplain's kit, intended for celebrating mass on the battlefield.
The present kit is made up of a storage case and some of the the liturgical artefacts needed for the communion.

Dimensions of the suitcase: about 13.40in x 17.35in x 6.30in; hinges and clasps are in working order.
The following markings have been stenciled on the lid: William R. Wright Lt. O-5571163.
Homogeneous set, in quite good overall condition.
William Record Wright was born on June 1st, 1910 in Readfield, Maine and was ordained deacon of the Methodist Church in 1934. He joined the US Army on July 19, 1944 and went on to serve as Protestant chaplain at Daggett Air Base, California and Howard Field, Canal Zone. He was discharged on August 21, 1947 as a Captain, and passed away on November 18, 1987.
