Rare genuine WWII US Army parachutist's rope, of the type issued to paratroopers of the 82nd and 101st Airborne Divisions on the occasion of Operation Overlord.
This 30-foot braided cotton rope was intended for giving the paratroopers the possibility to emerge from perilous situations, such as landing on a roof, in a tree, or in any other inappropriate spot.
Very good overall condition.

Rare genuine WWII US Army M1 helmet liner, of the specific type intended for Airborne troops and worn by paratroopers on D-Day. Manufactured by Westinghouse . The outer surface retains most of its original paint. In excellent overall condition, the present liner retains its khaki cotton web suspension and neckband, russet leather sweatband, and OD-painted A washers. The A yokes have been cut off.

Amazing genuine WWII US Army sterling silver chain bracelet, adorned with a pair of 'jump wings' which hide most of the owner's name and ASN. Mention Love -- Your Jil has been engraved on the reverse of the plaque; Complete and in very good overall condition. The lower part of the left wing is slightly damaged, showing a small dent which may have been caused by some shrapnel. Clasp is in working order. Total length: 7.6in.

Grouping, S/Sgt. Russell Weishuhn, Co. C, 326th Engineer Bn., 101st Airborne Division, ETO
Rare genuine WWII US Army grouping, which belonged to Staff Sergeant Russell F. Weishuhn , Company C, 326th Engineer Battalion, 101st Airborne Division and includes the following items: -duffle bag, f eaturing a shoulder strap; this green canvas bag was larger and sturdier than the Barrack Bag and could be secured with a padlock; m ention S/Sgt. Russell F. Weishuhn and ASN 36175973 have been stenciled above some illegible tactical number and an invasion code made up of three horizontal bars (brown-ochre-brown); - 101st Airborne Division, with separate tab; - paratroops cap badge (twill), of the red version specific to the Corps of Engineers, shown in a small frame; - set of seven wartime photographs, taken in the USA and in England, in which appear Russell F. Weishuhn and some of his comrades. Nice homogeneous lot, in good overall condition. Russell F. Weishuhn was born on May 13, 1921 in Whittemore, Michigan and joined the US Army on March 17, 1942 (ASN 36175973). He went on to serve with Company C, 326th Engineer Battalion, 101st Airborne Division and deployed to Europe. Knife, Trench, USM3, IMPERIAL on Blade, Modified, with USM8 Scabbard, 1st Type
Rare genuine WWII USM3 trench knife, manufactured by Imperial and hallmarked on blade, which shows some major modifications. The original stacked-leather grip, lower guard and upper guard have been replaced with some custom-made aluminium elements, thus giving the present knife additional lightness and handiness. Comes in its original USM8 bakelite scabbard of the early, hookless type, hallmarked B.M. Co. and on which initials JS have been engraved; snap fastener of the securing strap is in working order; the leather lace intended for securing the assembly to the wearer's leg is still attached to the sheath. Great homogeneous set, in good overall condition.

Great genuine WWII US Army sterling silver chain bracelet, on which some miniature 'jump wings' have been welded on both sides of a central motif showing two figures involved in a boxing match, topped with the following inscription: U.S.O. - Champion 1943 147lb . Name Stanley Tobola and ASN 16001434 have been engraved on the reverse. Complete and in good overall condition; clasp is in working order. Total length: 8.6in. Stanley Diamond Tobola was born on September 1st, 1915 in Chicago, Illinois in a family of Polish ancestry and joined the US Army on September 6, 1940. A boxer in the 147lb category, he won the United Service Organizations tournament in 1943. Rare genuine WWII US Army 'Rigger Pouch', which could accomodate M1 Garand rifle clips, M1 carbine magazines, and the Mk II grenades. This type was used by paratroopers in Normandy. Very good overall condition; Lift-the-Dot fastener is in working order.

Knife, Trench, M1917, L.F. & C. 1917, Modifed, USM3 Blade, CAMILLUS 1943, with Scabbard, USM6, BARWOOD 1943
Stunning genuine WWI US M1917 Trench Knife, manufactured by L.F. & C. and dated 1917, which shows a very interesting modification. The original triangular-section, stiletto steel blade has been replaced with some standard WWII USM3 knife blade, manufactured by Camillus in 1943. This 'hybrid' knuckle knife comes in a genuine WWII USM6 russet leather scabbard, manufactured by Barwood and dated 1943, on the back of which name Thwaites has been stenciled. Altogether, one amazing and homogeneous set, in quite good, used condition.

Knife, Trench, USM3, IMPERIAL, on Guard, with Scabbard, USM6, MILSCO 1943
Genuine WWII USM3 trench knife, manufactured by Imperial and hallmarked on guard. The Ordnance Department flaming bomb was stamped on pommel cap. Comes in its original USM6 leather scabbard, featuring strengthening pieces consisting of two rectangular metal plates fastened by four rivets, which keep the leather parts together. Fastening of these pieces is also ensured by rivets and a strong sewn seam. Staples reinforce the top of the sheath on which the hilt rests. Snap fastener of securing strap is in working order. The scabbard can be attached onto the M1936 belt thanks to the bent-wire hook. Markings U.S. M6 Milsco 1943 are clearly visible on the front. Some symbol has been grossly carved on the scabbard -- maybe Greek letter epsilon ( ε). Rare homogeneous set, in quite good overall condition -- hard to find nowadays. Don't miss it!

Exceptional genuine WWII US Army M1942 parachute jumper jacket, made in windproof and water-resistant cotton cloth, introduced in December 1941 and intended for being worn with matching trousers. This type features slanted breast pockets for easier access to contents. Label is dated April 9, 1943. Size 36L. Complete and in perfect condition; all snap fasteners and Crown and Serval zippers are in working order.

Container, Aerial Delivery, Type A-6, USAAF, Airborne
Great genuine WWII USAAF Type A-6 aerial delivery container, intended for dropping rations and drinking water. This is the heavy duty canvas bag only, complete with original harness (snap hook is in working condition). Very good overall condition.

Trousers, Jumper, Parachutist, M-1942
Great and scarce genuine WWII US Army M1942 parachute jumper trousers, made in wind- and water-resistant cotton cloth, specified in February 1942 and intended for being worn with the matching jacket introduced in December 1941. This type features two side pockets, a watch pocket, two hip pockets, and two large expanding pockets with two snaps on the thighs; the left hip pocket has a button-through closure. The lining of the pockets and the inner strengthening pieces are cut from off-white cotton. The tapered legs help inserting the trousers in the jump boots. In good overall condition, the present trousers retain all original buttons. Size 26. Two wartime repairs are visible on the rear.
