Superb reproduction of the WASP (Women Airforce Service Pilots), showing the famous Fifinella, created by Walt Disney. Hand painted on a piece of leather. The WASP was created in 1943 and trained civilian women pilots to become Army Air Forces pilots. It will be disbanded in December 1944 due to political reason, but dispite its short existence, the program have trained 916 pilots that will serve as aerial transport, terriotial defense or even as teachers at pilot schools.
