Genuine WWII British tin box, intended for containing chocolate and boiled sweets. This type was included in the Compo Ration, which was widely issued to British and Canadian troops during the Battle of Normandy.

Quite good, used condition; complete with lid. Dated July 1943.

The present artifact comes from a significant collection built up by a Norman collector in the last thirty years.
