Nice genuine WWII British Mk II helmet, retaining its original liner and early chinstrap.
Shell manufactured by Rubery Owen & Co. Ltd. in Leeds, England in 1942; liner is hallmarked FFL (Fisher Foils Ltd.) and dated 1942, too.
Size 7 ½.
The outer surface has been adorned with a white stripe on its circumference, indicating that the present helmet may have seen service with a Beach Group, whereas the front of the shell features a black rectangle sporting red initials 'MP', which stand for Military Police.
Quite good overall condition.
