Extremely rare and interesting genuine WWII British Type A Mk III (A3) transceiver, introduced in 1944.
Produced by The Marconi Company (4,000 units), this clandestine transceiver, designed for Special Operations Executive agents and Resistance organizations, was intended for superseding the Type 3 Mk II (B2), quite bulky.
Generally carried in a small suitcase, as seen here, the two blocks could also be stored in two separate waterproof containers -- not provided here -- in order to be dropped from the air
Good overall condition; retains its notice and most of its original accessories.
