Genuine WWII British 51st (Higland) Infantry Division formation badge, printed version.
The 51st (Highland) Infantry Division participated in the French campaign as early as 1940 and was destroyed at Saint-Valéry-en-Caux.
After its reformation it then distinguished itself in the battles in North Africa against General Rommel's Afrika Korps, notably at El Alamein.
In the summer of 1943, the division landed on the beaches of Sicily.
On 7 June 1944, the division landed in Normandy as part of British I Corps and continued to fight throughout the Normandy campaign. Afterward, it moved toward Belgium and the Netherlands.
