Genuine WWII British No. 4 Mk II bayonet, intended for the Lee-Enfield No. 4 Mk I rifle.

Hallmark [S] indicates that the present bayonet was manufactured by Savage-Stevens Co. in Chicopee Falls, Massachusetts, USA. This American company produced over one million 'spike' bayonets for Britain and her Dominions in 1941 and 1942 under the Lend-Lease Act.

Comes in its original 1943-dated steel scabbard, along with a web bayonet frog covered with light green Blanco.

Homogeneous set, in good overall condition.
