Genuine WWII British cap badge, The Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry.
This infantry regiment initially recruited in South Western England was made up of seven battalions during the war. The 2nd Battalion served in France in 1940 as part of the BEF and took part to the evacuation of Dunkirk, while the 5th Battalion fought in Normandy in the summer of 1944 within the 214th Infantry Brigade, 43rd (Wessex) Infantry Division, sustaining heavy casualties on Hill 112. The DCLI subsequently participated in Operation Market Garden.

The Code provides additional penalties, including the confiscation of the items used or intended for committing the offence.
