Genuine WWII British ditching whistle, intended for Royal Air Force pilots and aircrews and generally attached to the 'Mae West' life preserver.
This white plastic version, which superseded the traditional chrome-plated brass whistle of the 'snail' type at some point during the war, never shows any hallmark.
Very good overall condition.
