Boots, Flying, 1941 Pattern, Royal Air Force, /I\ A♔M

Pair of genuine WWII British 1941 Pattern flying boots, made in brown suede lined with sheep's fleece, fitted with leather soles and rubber heels, and featuring an enveloping rubber galosh from heel to toes.

The addition of some adjustable russet leather strap is the only modification compared to the 1940 Pattern.

Like many other pieces of flying gear, this type was also issued to some American pilots and aircrews of the 8th and 9th Air Forces based in Britain.

Size 9.

Homogeneous pair, in worn condition; only one of the two pin buckles is in working order and both zippers, bearing the Air Ministry markings, are broken.

Soles and heels are very well preserved.
