Initial 'Q' above the War Department stamp indicates that the present uniform was issued in 1940.

Complete and in very good overall condition; retains all original insignia: 15th (Scottish) Infantry Division formation badges surmounted by Mackenzie tartan patches identifying the 7th Battalion, Seaforth Highlanders, two red felt stripes which correspond to the 46th (Highland) Infantry Brigade — the second brigade of this division —, and Sergeant chevrons; the right sleeve also sports a signaller's badge made of brass.

Shoulder width: 16.55in. Sleeve length: 26in.

7th Battalion, Seaforth Highlanders landed in Normandy on June 16, 1944 prior to taking part in Operations Epsom and Bluecoat.
