Genuine WWII US Army M1935 Bedding Roll.
Issued to officers for carrying a tent, blankets and other bedding articles, as well as spare clothing; it also doubled as a ground sheet.
Dated 1942.
Quite good, used condition.
Markings visible on the heavy duty canvas indicate that the present item was successively issued to two officers, including some Lt. Czapszys, ASN O-1109222.
Bronislaus Czapszys was born on November 15, 1916 in New York City and joined the US Army on October 1st, 1941 (ASN 32173999). He went on to serve with 280th Engineer Combat Battalion, deployed to Europe and was killed in action on March 19, 1945 in Germany.
