Nice genuine WWII Canadian Mk II helmet, complete with original liner and early type chinstrap. Shell manufactured by CLC ( Canadian Lamp Company , Windsor, Ontario) and dated 1941. Liner is hallmarked VMC ( Viceroy Manufacturing Company , Toronto, Ontario) and dated 1940. Size 6 3/4. Very good overall condition. The outer surface of the shell has been covered with a layer of dark grey paint, which may indicate that the present helmet saw service with the Royal Canadian Navy. A series of digits, which may correspond to a service number, is visible under the brim of the present helmet.
Jerkin, Battle, Canadian, Small, Z.L.&T. Ltd. 1943
Extremely rare genuine WWII Canadian brown canvas material battle jerkin. Manufactured by Z.L.&T. Ltd. and dated 1943. Size: Small. Introduced in the British Army in 1942 and initially designed as a substitute for the multi-part 1937 Pattern webbing equipment, the assault vest combines the various cargo capacities of the latter in a single piece of gear -- a small pack for individual belongings, a specific compartment for the entrenching tool, some ammunition and grenade pouches, not to mention special sleeves for the spike bayonet and the machette. Additional items such as a holster or a canteen could be attached onto the waist loops. The Canadian version shown here differs from its British counterpart by an overall better finish and the use of American-style Lift-the-Dot fasteners in lieu of the cord loops with wooden toggles. Whereas the British-made battle jerkin was issued to some Commonwealth units landing in the first wave on D-Day, the present type, of which only 1,500 examples were produced, was mainly used in training conditions by Canadian forces stationed in Britain. Complete and in good overall condition. Please note that the Battledress blouse is shown for illustration purpose only (not included in the sale).

Genuine WWII Canadian Army rubberized cloth poncho, generally known as 'groundsheet'. This multipurpose garment, which was part of the field equipement, could also be used as a rain cape or as an individual shelter thanks to its metal eyelets. Dated 1943. Ink markings are clearly legible. Complete and in very good overall condition.

Genuine WWII Canadian canvas cover, intended for the Lee-Enfield No. I Mk III and No. 4 Mk I rifles. Dated 1942. Quite good overall condition. Complete with leather lace and snap fasteners in working order.

Mask, Gas, Mk IV, Complete, 1940, with Canadian Bag, 1942
Genuine WWII British Mk IV gas mask, complete with canister and corrugated tube. Dated 1940. This type was standard issue for His Majesty armed forces prior to the introduction of the Lightweight version in 1943. Size: Normal. Good overall condition; comes in its original Canadian khaki canvas bag, dated 1942, along with its anti-dimming cloth (in its tin) and some eyeshields (in their cardboard case). Canadian Army service number B103168 painted under the flap indicates that the present lot was issued to a serviceman from Ontario. Nice homogeneous set.
