The present jacket, of the type intended for other ranks, features the following cloth insignia: Major rank insignia on shoulder tabs, 'Canada' nationality title on both sleeves, service chevrons on the lower right sleeve (four years of service, including one year before September 9, 1939), and ribbon bars on the breast (1914-1915 Star, British War Medal, Victory Medal 1914-1919, and Canadian Volunteer Service Medal with Overseas Clasp).

The Code provides additional penalties, including the confiscation of the items used or intended for committing the offence.
