Nice genuine WWII Canadian No. 4 Mk II bayonet, intended for the Lee-Enfield No. 4 Mk I rifle. Some green camouflage paint remains on the bayonnet and the scabbard
Hallmark S indicates that the present bayonet was manufactured by Savage-Stevens Co. in Chicopee Falls, Massachusetts, USA. This American company produced over one million 'spike' bayonets for Britain and her Dominions in 1941 and 1942 under the Lend-Lease Act.
Comes in its original Canadian steel scabbard, hallmarked with the Canadian broad arrow, along with a web bayonet frog retaining most of its original No. 103 blanco. A serial number was stamped on its back.
Homogeneous set, in good overall condition.
