Genuine WWII US special friction tape, manufactured by Plymouth Rubber Company, Inc. in Canton, Massachusetts.
This 'Chatterton' tape was issued as part of the paratrooper's demolition kit (see picture #2 in manual Technical Training of Parachutist). Often used by airborne troops to reinforce their personal equipment and gear.
The present roll is complete and untouched. Comes in its original cardboard box.
