Bag, Tool, Demolition, US Army, 1st Type

Rare genuine WWII US Army small demolition tool bag, of the early production type seen in Normandy.

This heavy duty canvas musette bag was intended for carrying some of the engineer's vital accessories -- fuzes, pull- or traction-release igniters, special connecting clips for Primacord (detoning cord), friction tape, pocket knife, M2 crimpers, etc.

These various tools were supposed to be contained in a tin box (not included here) prior to being put in place in the demolition tool bag itself -- see Michel De Trez's book, At The Point of No Return, page 117.

Very good overall condition despite some minor oxidization of some metal parts.

Empty.
