Lot, 23 Forms, V-mail, Blank, in Box

Genuine WWII US Army set of 23 V-mail blank forms, coming in their original cardboard box.

In order to standardize, hasten and facilitate the shipping and delivery of mail written by servicemen deployed overseas, the US Army instituted the V-mail system in 1942. The message would be written on a special form which was then photographed on 16mm film by the theater of operations V-mail processing center.

Nice homogeneous lot, in excellent overall condition.
