Genuine WWII photograph, taken in 1943 at The Hurricane, a club located on Broadway, New York, which was then considered as the 'headquarters' of the 502nd Parachute Infantry Regiment.

Original print, coming in its cardboard sleeve. Dimensions of the picture: 5.1in x 7in.

From left to right, the three officers seated in charming company are Lieutenants Ralph S. Magri (Company E), Earl R. Hendricks a.k.a. 'Worried' (Company F), and Robert S. Dickson III, a.k.a. 'Buck' (Pathdinder, Company E).

Ralph Samuel Magri was born on July 12, 1918 in Rome, New York. A member of the National Guard, he was inducted into Federal Service on January 16, 1941 (ASN 20109059) and was commissioned in 1942 (officer's ASN O-1295045). After being awarded his 'jump wings', he went on to serve with Company E, 502nd PIR, 101st Airborne Division, a unit with which he parachuted into Normandy on D-Day. He was killed in action five days later in the vicinity of Carentan, France. Earl R. Hendricks (O-408579) was missing in action on January 2, 1945, and Robert S. Dickson III jumped in Normandy as a Pathfinder.
