Grouping, Cpl. Helen Anthony, Pilot WAC
Genuine WWII US Army Air Corps leather card holder, which belonged to some Corporal Helen I. Anthony, a student pilot within the Women's Army Corps.
Some personal documents are still present inside: a military pass issued at Cochran Field in Macon, Georgia, a motor vehicle operator's permit, a military conduct card and a tobacco ration card both issued at Hendricks Field in Sebring, Florida; various handwritten notes complete this lot, along with a drink coaster bearing the colors of a beer brand, Blue Ribbon.
Nice homogeneous set, in quite good overall condition.
Helen Irene Anthony was born on October 20, 1923 in Elgin, Illinois and joined the US Army on November 11, 1943 (ASN A-522121). She married William Ulysses Goyer on November 23, 1955. She passed away on September 23, 2003.
