Genuine WWII US Women's Army Corps OD wool visor hat, intended for being worn by Other Ranks with the winter service uniform. Introduced in 1942, this type, soon known as the 'Hobby Hat', was progressively superseded by the garrison cap. Tailored by Dobbs, Fifth Avenue, New York. Size 22 1/2.

In good overall condition, the present cap is complete with walking eagle hat insignia, chinstrap and buttons. Partial service number N2091 has been inked inside.
