Vehicles, Military, Wooden, Briefing, Sand Table, Front Lines
Rare set of six genuine WWII US miniature wooden military vehicles intended for being used as tactical representation elements on briefing sand tables. These models were employed by officers to illustrate troop movements, enemy positions, and attack plans during operational briefings.
Each model, crafted from wood and painted in Olive Drab, represents a different type of vehicle (truck, tank, armored car, etc.) and retains its period patina, bearing witness to actual field use.
Educational and historical objects, rare survivors of wartime field-planning material, these wooden miniatures form an authentic and evocative set reflecting the command and training methods used at the front.
The various vehicles appear to depict a Jeep, a Dodge, a half-track armored vehicle, two Sherman tanks, and an unidentified heavy truck.
Nice homogeneous set in quite good, used condition.
Dimensions of the smallest vehicle (Jeep): about 0.78in x 1.37in.
Dimensions of the largest vehicle (truck): about 1in x 2.16in.
