Rare genuine WWII USAAF identity card, issued to some Flight Officer Roy P. Carman, a glider pilot, on June 15, 1943.

Quite good overall condition; retains its photograph.

Roy Pershing Carman was born on September 15, 1919 in Burlington, Pennsylvania and joined the Air Corps on March 25, 1941 (ASN 12024141). He was soon awarded his glider pilot's wings with the specific rank of Flight Officer (ASN T-121825) and went on to serve in Europe with 305th Troop Carrier Squadron, 442nd Troop Carrier Group, 9th Air Force. He was discharged on April 4, 1946 as a 1st Lieutenant (ASN O-1999637), and passed away on December 3, 1969.
