Genuine WWII US envelope, which once contained a letter written by Major Douglas T. Davidson, ASN O-403392, surgeon of 502nd Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division, addressed to his wife in December 1943.
Douglas Treat Davidson, Jr. was born on July 3, 1912 in Claymont, Delaware. On June 6, 1944, he parachuted in Normandy with his regiment and subsequently treated Colonel Moseley's injured leg.
He passed away on August 25, 1964 and was buried at Arlington National Cemetery, Virginia.
