Pair of genuine WWII US Army dog tags, issued to Robert J. Hood, ASN 32256370, vaccinated against tetanus in 1942, blood type A, Protestant. Come with their original early type sterling silver chains.
Robert James Hood was born on May 22, 1912 in Rochester, New York and joined the US Army on March 31, 1942. He went on to serve as an armorer in the USAAF and deployed to North Africa and Italy with the 85th Fighter Squadron, 79th Fighter Group, which was successively part of the 9th and 12th Air Forces. He was discharged on August 28, 1945 as a Sergeant and passed away on January 2, 1987.
