Dog Tags, Maj. Willard Barr, Military Police, 20th Armored Division

Pair of genuine WWII US Army dog tags of the early Monel type, issued to some Willard N. Barr, officer's ASN O-303521, vaccinated in 1941, blood type O, Protestant, with name and address of next-of-kin — here, his sister.

Nice homogeneous set, in good overall condition, retaining its original synthetic material cord (vinyl).

Willard Nelson Barr was born on October 20, 1908 in Morristown, New York. A Cavalry Reserve officer, he was called to active duty in February 1941 prior to being appointed Provsot Marshal in the 20th Armored Division with the rank of Major in April 1943. He passed away on March 9, 1984.
