Dog Tags, WO (JG) Tom King, Hq. Co., 634th Tank Destroyer Bn., ETO
Lot of two pairs of genuine WWII US Army dog tags, including a pair of the early production Monel type, issued to some Tom W. King, ASN W2119493, vaccinated in 1941 and 1943, blood type O, Protestant.
Nice homogeneous set, in good overall condition, coming along with a pair of bead chains.
Tom Walter King was born on January 19, 1915 in Exline, Iowa and joined the US Army on April 24, 1941 (ASN 37043513). He was promoted to the rank of Warrant Officer (Junior Grade) and deployed to Europe with Headquarters Company, 634th Tank Destroyer Battalion from December 28, 1943 to November 25, 1945. He participated in every campaign whit his unit, which was attached to the 1st Infantry Division: Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes-Alsace, and Central Europe. He was discharged on February 2, 1946, and passed away on January 14, 2010.
