Pair of genuine WWII US Army dog tags, issued to some Emil L. Valasek, ASN 33421039, vaccinated in 1943, blood type O, Catholic.
Nice homogeneous set, in very good overall condition, retaining both bead chains and a brown bakelite religious pendant (damaged).
Emil Lenhart Valasek was born on February 12, 1923 in Ford City, Pennsylvania to Czechoslovakian parents and joined the US Army on January 18, 1943. He went on to serve with Battery B, 195th Field Artillery Battalion and deployed to Europe from February 11, 1944 to November 13, 1945. He was discharged five days later as a Private First Class, and passed away on February 9, 2003.
