Nice genuine WWII US machete, 21.8 inch-long blade, made by Collins & Co. and dated 1942. Black bakelite grips. The Spanish language label still present on the blade indicates that this machete was most likely intended for being exported to Latin America at some point. Comes in its original leather canvas scabbard, manufactured by Boyt, marked 2HQ and dated 1942, too.
Such machetes were, amongst other branches of service, quite popular with American paratroopers and Marines manning the .30 machine gun.
Homogeneous set in good, used condition.
