Very nice genuine WWII US Army brown leather shoulder harness and waist belt, intended for distributing the weight in the most optimal way when carrying the sidearm.
The belt, which was initially standard issue for all services, was decommissioned in March 1941 but remained in use in the Military Police.
This complete set (waist belt, shoulder harness, holster, magazine pocket, sword carrier) is in good, worn condition; all moving parts are in working order: pin buckles, snap hooks, etc.
Inscriptions visible on various elements indicate that the present lot once belonged to some Captain J.D. Copp.
